Work completed & tools used:

I took a file and filed the edges to make them smooth and enhance the professional look, once I filed the edges I then used sand paper to smooth the edges and any excess pieces left. I then took a steel rule and found the center of the square; using a pencil I drew a line going through the center marking the middle line. I chose to add an extra mm as my clock was going to be filed and sand papered after cutting it with a coping saw, so as my plan said I marked 15mm which is the middle of the square, and drew a fine line using a pencil so that I could erase it later on and it would not leave a mark. With this line I could separate the bottom base and the top icing swirl design. Next I drew a rough sketch by hand marking out where the points were going to be and how large each section was by looking at my final drawing that was laid out on the desk. After that I took the steel rule and began to draw final lines, by measuring each corner and adding out the sums. In detail, what I did was I drew 2 angles lines to create the bottom shape again using the steel rule going over the rough sketch lines, evenly distributing measurements from both sides to make them equal. I then erased the rough lines, so that the final lines were now being seen. I had created my final base, so now I could draw the zig zag lines that connect the top portion together, I made sure that they were evenly distributed, the spaces between them were close, I was still using my steel rule so that the lines were straight. I then connected the end parts of the triangular form that was in the drawn bottom shape to the end of the bottom line, using the steel rule I made sure they were even and straight. I then added the heart shapes that I was alter going to paint. I drew the hearts using a light touch of my pencil because I might end up changing the places where I placed them while painting. During the process I used the camera that Mr. Thorburn had in his desk to take pictures and record what I was doing along the way to later on add onto my website and possibly create a video.

Problems:

Some problems I came across where unevenly drawing the zigzags so then I erased them and fixed the problem by distributing them with different numbers on my steel rule so they were all even and evenly spaced along with the sizes.

Am I keeping to my plan of action?

Yes I am keeping to my plan of action, I am right on track.

What I need to do next:

I need to draw the top section of my design, so I can prepare my design to be cut.
