Work completed & tools used:

Today I drew the top-icing portion of my cupcake design. I started by using my pencil to sketch an outline of what I think it should look like based on my final design which I had out on the desk next to me, done free hand. I firstly drew the first loop on the left, second on top of it without spacing’s, then third loop forming the very top tip. For this tip I drew a small loop instead of  the line going forward I winged It up and gave a little pointy tip. Next I drew the loop which ends on the third loops line which is the second line from the bottom. Then the next loop which ends right below the first line and carefully did not leave a space between them, and finally the final loop which ends on or a little bit above the zigzags. I was not able to achieve the best form the first time I tried it so I erased it using the eraser and after a few more tries I finally got the one that I really liked and corresponded to my final design.  After that I went over the lines making them neater, erasing sketchy edges and parts that do not meet up.  I used the camera that Mr. Thorburn kept in his desk to take pictures and asked one of my friends to video tape what I was doing so I can use the footage in the video that I will be making and putting up onto the website I will be making.

Problems:

I did come across having to re draw the loops on the top section a few times to make them right and use the time available to make them as accurate and neat as possible.

Am I keeping to my plan of action?

Yes I am keeping to my plan of action for right now.

What I need to do next:

Now that I have completed the design of my cupcake I am prepared to cut using the coping saw, and file/sand paper it so that the edges are smooth.
